I'm a PIO — an acronym in the public safety profession for public information officer — passionate about getting the right information to the right people at the right time as a spokesperson, storyteller and speaker.
Since 2004, I’ve crafted and delivered strategic messaging during high-stakes events—from environmental and public health crises to nationally covered law enforcement cases—shaping public perception and guiding communication under pressure.
Over nearly a decade as a journalist, from South Carolina to Dallas, I developed the skill of turning complex information into clear, compelling stories. Today, I continue to use those same skills to inform, engage and connect with audiences in meaningful ways.
Alongside my role as a contract instructor for an international training firm, I've had opportunities to deliver media relations training and speak on some of the most prominent conference and event stages in the public safety field.
